Overview
Spectra Alpharetta is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Production Assembler to build ruggedized electronic systems and cable harnesses for aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role involves assembling components according to technical drawings and work instructions, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Perform soldering, crimping, wire stripping, and cable routing as required.
- Conduct in-process inspections and report any defects or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage.
- Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols in all work areas.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.
- Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives on the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in electronics or mechanical assembly preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or rugged electronics manufacturing is a plus.
- Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR and eligibility to obtain a security clearance may be required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electronic assembly techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret technical documentation.
- Familiarity with soldering, crimping, and cable assembly tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
