Overview
Dart Container is seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to ensure peak performance of plant and facility equipment. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and modifying equipment to maintain operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
- Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas or to install new or repaired parts.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license.
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language.
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics preferred.
- Level 2 candidates must have three (3) years’ experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
- Level 2 candidates must have special knowledge in the use of hand-tools and power-tools.
- Level 2 candidates must have mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems.
- Level 2 candidates must understand pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges.
- Level 2 candidates must be proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics.
- Level 2 candidates must have experience operating test equipment and/or software.
- Level 2 candidates must have working knowledge of automated controls.
- Level 2 candidates must be able to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists and cranes, and maintain PIT certification.
- Level 3 candidates must have five (5) years’ experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
- Level 3 candidates must have special knowledge in the use of hand-tools, power-tools, and lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
- Level 3 candidates must have introductory electrical knowledge including basic wiring principles and troubleshooting.
- Level 3 candidates must be able to perform root cause analysis and recommend and implement resolutions.
- Level 3 candidates must have advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Level 3 candidates must understand manufacturing processes and be able to inspect and repair or replace components.
- Level 3 candidates must have experience using Microsoft Office.

- Shift availability includes 8pm-8am, 8am-8pm for Level 2 Mechanics and 7am-3pm for Level 3 Mechanics.
