Overview
The Production Technician III role is essential for supporting the operations team and involves planning and performing diversified duties including installing, moving, repairing, and maintaining production equipment. This position emphasizes safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement practices.
Responsibilities
- Champion company and industry standard safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and execute inspections and preventive/predictive maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and repair production and process utility equipment deficiencies.
- Use continuous improvement tools to enhance equipment reliability.
- Lead production equipment rebuilds, line moves, installations, and setups.
- Read and interpret technical documents to perform maintenance and service.
- Manage assigned planned work and unplanned failures in a high-paced environment.
- Log work orders in CMMS to track maintenance and equipment performance metrics.
Requirements
- Five plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience using lockout tagout, job hazard analysis, and hot work permits.
- Experience working in a food processing environment familiar with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies.
- Preferred: 1 year experience in a leadership role.
- Preferred: Experience with condition diagnostic techniques.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must provide own tools necessary for maintenance repair.
