Overview

Martin Sprocket & Gear is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team, focusing on mechanical skills to ensure the quality and efficiency of their mechanical power transmission components and material handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment and machinery issues to identify the root cause of failures.
• Repair machinery and equipment as needed and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintain facilities equipment, tools, and the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Conduct maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems across facilities.
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout and tagout procedures.
• Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used.
• Assist in other areas or departments as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance role.
• Ability to perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machinery.
• Proficient in working with 110V, 220V, and 480V systems.
• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning heavy components.
• Able to perform tasks independently and collaborate effectively.
• Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with variable temperature settings.
• Professional and respectful communication with all levels of Management.
