Overview

The Pipefitter position is a 2-week contract role in a machine tool manufacturing environment, requiring a highly experienced candidate to perform various pipefitting activities independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings.
• Read mechanical assembly drawings and bills of material (BOMs).
• Build, thread, and install pipe headers.
• Install service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components.
• Pipe robotic systems and sealer equipment.
• Prepare and assemble valve packs and manifolds.
• Route, install, and dress hoses and tubing to customer specifications.
• Drill, tap, and ream holes as required for installation.
• Perform mechanical assembly and piping modifications during machine builds.
• Utilize hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.

Requirements

• Highly experienced in pipefitting activities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates high-quality workmanship.
• Experience in machine build, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
