Overview

Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Structural Fitter / Welder to join its Packaged Engineered Systems team in Waller TX. Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to fabricate and fit piping systems and structural skids.
• Weld pipe per ASME Section IX standards up to 6G position.
• Fit and tack-weld piping components according to specifications.
• Accurately mark measurements and shapes on piping materials using precision tools.
• Operate arc, flame, and plasma cutting equipment.
• Inspect own work for quality and complete required documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, and hydraulic jacks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area while promoting teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED/HSE or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of structural fitting and welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications required.
• Proficiency with stick and wire-feed welding machines, arc/plasma/flame cutters, and small power tools required.
• Experience operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, and hydraulic jacks.
