Overview

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a credentialed cardiac sonographer to join their academic team as an adjunct faculty member for a 9-month position. This role offers flexibility for professionals while contributing to student success and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes using effective pedagogy and technology.
• Develop and maintain curriculum and course materials.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and grades.
• Facilitate student achievement of program learning outcomes.
• Use Learning Management System to support teaching and communication.
• Provide academic coaching and monitoring to student advisees.
• Monitor and document student performance throughout the semester.
• Maintain office hours and engage with students as required.
• Promote student recruitment and retention.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Stay current in pedagogy and technology related to teaching.
• Participate in community service activities.
• Develop community and industry contacts.
• Provide institutional support as requested by college administration.
• Attend commencement and participate in college meetings.
• Support program management activities.

Requirements

• Must be registered as an RDCS or RCS.
• Ideal candidate will have been registered for 2+ years.
• A minimum of an associate degree is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
