Timken is seeking a Heat Treat Operator to perform various heat treat operations on production parts, contributing to the efficiency of industrial equipment and supporting the future of motion. This role offers immediate impact and opportunities for career advancement within a global team.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train on multiple furnaces.
• Set-up and operate gas-fired furnaces and associated quenching devices.
• Utilize wheelabrator and measuring devices such as micrometers and hardness testing devices.
• Ensure proper hardness, size, and flatness of all parts using production furnaces and associated quenching dies.
• Perform necessary size and hardness checks.
• Maintain accurate logs for equipment used.
• Set-up floor dies and participate in quenching operations.
• Operate wheelabrator when directed.
• Assist in carburizing operation by loading/unloading baskets.
• Examine carburizing fixtures and baskets, reporting unserviceable conditions.
• Participate in charging and quenching operations.
• Perform straightening operations as directed.
• Care for company tools and observe safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and keep a neat work area.
