Overview

The CARETAKER P (HA) position involves mixing and applying plastering materials to various surfaces, performing dust control, and maintaining cleanliness. This role encourages career advancement to Plasterer and requires travel within assigned neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Mix plastering materials properly.
• Apply plastering materials to interior and exterior surfaces using tools like hawk, trowel, Darby, and slicker.
• Apply plaster coats including scratch, brown, and finish.
• Lath and plaster bases such as channel iron and wire lath.
• Perform dust control and clean up.

• No formal education or experience requirements.

• Travel to Developments within assigned neighborhood is required.
• Positions will cover Brooklyn Neighborhood 06, including Marcy, Roosevelt, Sumner, and Tompkins.

• NYCHA employees applying for transfer or promotion must have served one year at their current location.
