Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Non Destructive Testing RT / PT Level 2 Technician for their Quality Department in Carlstadt, NJ. The role involves inspecting critical aerospace components using advanced NDT techniques and contributing to a growing department focused on excellence and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluorescent penetrant inspections on components.
• Interpret inspection results to determine pass or fail status.
• Assist in maintaining inspection areas and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and process logs.
• Detect and identify quality and safety issues in components.
• Determine and disposition items based on NDT results.
• Record test results and findings manually or using a computer system.
• Coordinate recurring defects with supervisors and quality engineers.
• Test and pass NAS 410 Level II certification in-house.
• Pass vision test requirements.
• Obtain a US Security Clearance.
• May be required to work some weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 800 hours experience in industrial X-ray or 400 hours in fluorescent penetrant inspection.
• Previous certification as an X-ray Level 2 or fluorescent penetrant Level 2 to specification ASNT or NAS410.
