Job Description

Overview

The Welder-Fabricator role involves reading mechanical drawings, operating metal fabrication machinery, and performing various tasks related to welding and fabrication. The position requires physical strength and the ability to work independently while ensuring quality in equipment production.

Responsibilities

  • Read mechanical drawings.
  • Set up and operate metal fabrication machinery according to drawings and within tolerances.
  • Pass a welding certification test in MIG and Flux core welding.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Use general hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Perform different tasks as needed by manager or supervisor.
  • Conduct power coating.
  • Prepare for painting.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in the field.
  • Welding certification is highly preferred.
  • Completion of an apprentice program is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings and apply information.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to work without supervision.
  • Ability to produce quality equipment.

Additional Information

  • Employees should have experience with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
  • Walking, bending, standing, and sitting are required frequently.
