Overview

Lenco Armored Vehicles is a U.S.-based manufacturer of specialized armored vehicles used by law enforcement, military, fire, and rescue agencies worldwide. The Second Shift Welder / Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabricating steel components used in the assembly of armored vehicles, requiring strong MIG welding experience and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies
• Fabricate parts according to engineering drawings, prints, and work orders
• Fit, tack, and assemble components prior to final welding
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality and appearance standards
• Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and structural integrity
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong MIG welding skills (TIG experience a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
• Experience working with steel and structural components
• Comfortable using grinders, saws, and fabrication tools
• High attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
