Overview

The Civil Structural Engineer role focuses on structural engineering decisions for modular steel buildings and packaged equipment centers, requiring extensive experience in the energy domain. The position is based in Houston, TX and is a full-time onsite role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design and analysis for modular buildings and packaged equipment centers
  • Design steel structures, equipment supports, lifting frames, transportation reinforcement, and skid foundations
  • Validate load cases including dead load, live load, wind load, seismic load, and transportation loads
  • Ensure compliance with AISC, ASCE, IBC, and customer structural standards
  • Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical teams for integrated design execution
  • Review fabrication drawings and support manufacturing clarification
  • Participate in design reviews and customer technical discussions
  • Support installation methodology and site structural requirements

Requirements

  • 12+ years in modular steel structures, E-House, substation buildings, and industrial structures
  • Strong experience in packaged electrical buildings and utility structures
  • Proficiency in STAAD Pro and RISA 3D software
