Overview

Boeing is hiring Structural Analysis Engineers at various experience levels to support the Airframe Customer Support Engineering team for the 777/777X aircraft in Seal Beach, California. The role involves leveraging Boeing's resources to solve complex structural challenges and improve aircraft repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves engineering data for airframe repairs and service bulletins for Boeing 777 and 777X aircraft.
• Performs detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity using classical techniques and Boeing tools.
• Supports analysis responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, and regulatory compliance.
• Researches and prepares data to define structural design requirements.
• Provides expertise to respond to customer inquiries and investigate failures.
• Responds to emergent requests for safety of flight decisions.
• Accounts for customer impact of solutions and provides temporary repair options.
• Develops and supports in-house and commercial application software for engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
• 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 or more years of experience in structural analysis.
• Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.

Additional Information

• This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Seal Beach, CA.
• Initial work assignment will be on 1st Shift, but may change to nonstandard shifts as needed.
