Overview
Boeing is hiring Structural Analysis Engineers at various experience levels to support the Airframe Customer Support Engineering team for the 777/777X aircraft in Seal Beach, California. The role involves leveraging Boeing's resources to solve complex structural challenges and improve aircraft repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and approves engineering data for airframe repairs and service bulletins for Boeing 777 and 777X aircraft.
- Performs detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity using classical techniques and Boeing tools.
- Supports analysis responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, and regulatory compliance.
- Researches and prepares data to define structural design requirements.
- Provides expertise to respond to customer inquiries and investigate failures.
- Responds to emergent requests for safety of flight decisions.
- Accounts for customer impact of solutions and provides temporary repair options.
- Develops and supports in-house and commercial application software for engineering tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
- 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 or more years of experience in structural analysis.
- Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
