Overview

McNish LLC, headquartered in Aurora, IL, is a leading manufacturer of process equipment for the municipal wastewater treatment industry. They are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to support the design and optimization of structural components related to water and wastewater treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Make design revisions, recommendations, and evaluations of water and wastewater treatment equipment to improve designs and reduce costs.
• Perform structural analysis and design for equipment, frames, supports, foundations, and related systems.
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and design codes while carrying out technically related tasks.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
• Support project execution by responding to technical inquiries, reviewing submittals, and providing engineering clarification.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, safety regulations, and company design practices.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on design efficiency, manufacturability, and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
• 2+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (water/wastewater or industrial equipment experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of applicable structural design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software and CAD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• P.E./S.E. License Required.
