Overview

TRC is a pioneering engineering firm that combines science and technology to create innovative solutions for various industries. The Structural Engineer IV will work independently on substation projects, managing civil/structural aspects and collaborating with a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review structural engineering calculations and design drawings.
• Coordinate resourcing needs to meet client deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prepare proposals and estimates for various projects.
• Assist with project management including budgets, schedules, and client relations.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in the utility industry.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer, preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking to solve problems.
• Proficient with Risa3D, Risa Foundation, Mathcad, Mat3D, SAP2000, STAAD, AutoCAD, LPile, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Experience with applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI, API, IBC, OSHA, PIP).
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate.
• Experience leading small to medium sized Civil/Structural engineering design teams.
