Overview

The Marine Structures Project Engineer will perform structural and geotechnical engineering for marine and waterfront projects, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design piers, wharves, and bulkheads including components such as piles, pile caps, deck, fenders, and mooring bollards/cleats.
  • Analyze existing structural capacity of deteriorated components.
  • Perform field inspection of existing structures.
  • Conduct berthing and mooring analyses.
  • Prepare plans, designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Work collaboratively with all company disciplines and external partners.
  • Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents.
  • Provide site visits during construction to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
  • Assist with the preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare complete project documents and solve technical problems.
  • Assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Assist with proposals for professional services or funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring engineering projects.
  • Proven experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
