Overview

TYLin is a globally recognized, full-service infrastructure consulting firm seeking a dedicated Rail + Transit Structural Engineer to design critical transportation facilities and structures. The firm focuses on innovative, cost-effective designs that enhance mobility and sustainability in the global infrastructure market.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop detailed structural designs of rail and transit facilities.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for transit structures.
• Conduct structural analysis and develop design solutions for safety and durability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to integrate structural designs.
• Perform structural inspections, field assessments, and condition evaluations.
• Ensure designs meet the requirements of regional transit agencies.
• Support project management activities including budget tracking and scheduling.
• Engage with clients to present design options and incorporate feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering focused on rail and transit projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as AREMA, AASHTO, and MTA design guidelines.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD/BIM tools.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY or ability to obtain it.
• Experience on MTA C&D/NYCT Projects is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
