Overview
Our client, one of the largest Energy companies in the U.S., is seeking a Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to support critical capital improvement and facility infrastructure projects. The role involves designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures for high-impact commercial facility projects in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and design projects supporting Capital and Operations & Maintenance budgets.
- Prepare and/or oversee engineering design packages, including drawings and specifications.
- Review contractor shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
- Perform conceptual studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine optimal design solutions.
- Prepare or direct the preparation of project budgets and appropriation requests.
- Provide engineering support for facility projects, operations, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct root cause investigations for structural or facility-related incidents.
- Perform facility and structural system inspections.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external consulting firms throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of civil/structural engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
- Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, ASCE, and NYC Building Code.
- Proven ability to provide civil/structural engineering support for commercial buildings and yard systems.
- Experience working directly with both in-house engineering teams and external consulting engineers.

- Location: New York, NY 10003 (Hybrid)
- Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Conversion Based on Performance)
- Schedule: 8-hour workday (Flexible start time after offer), Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Compensation
- Pay Rate: $60/hr - $70/hr (Depending on Experience)
