Overview
We are seeking motivated Construction Field Engineers to support large-scale self-perform construction projects involving structural steel, mechanical systems, piping, and heavy industrial work. This role offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced Superintendents, Project Managers, and field leadership while developing the skills needed to advance into future leadership positions.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Superintendents and field leadership with daily project execution
- Coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents
- Tracking productivity, quantities installed, and project progress
- Assisting with project logistics and material deliveries
- Supporting quality control inspections and project turnover activities
- Maintaining daily reports, field documentation, and project records
- Participating in safety meetings, pre-task planning, and job hazard analyses
- Communicating project updates, challenges, and solutions with the project team
- Helping resolve field issues in real time to keep projects moving forward
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industrial construction field experience
- Experience working with structural steel, mechanical, piping, process, or heavy industrial projects preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced construction environments
- Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours when project schedules require
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software platforms preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Additional Information
- This role requires extensive nationwide travel, typically ranging from 75% to 100% throughout the year.
- $120 per day per diem, paid seven days per week while assigned to projects.
- Full reimbursement for travel to and from project locations.
- When not assigned to a project, employees may work remotely or from the nearest company office.
