Overview

Daifuku is the nation’s leading independent, U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems. They are looking for a 2nd Shift Welder to join their team, offering career development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
• Plan work by interpreting blueprints
• Determine welding position and type of metal to be fused
• Select and set up welding equipment
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications
• Comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures
• Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
• Minimum 1 year experience in welding
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Team orientation
• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
• Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
