Overview

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Welders for a leading custom fabrication company located in Moorhead, MN. This temporary or temp-to-hire position offers reliable hours with weekly pay in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and galvanized structural components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Weld in multiple positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Fit, tack, and assemble components prior to welding
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and defects
• Grind, clean, and finish welded components as needed
• Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment to move materials
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in MIG welding within manufacturing or structural environments
• Experience welding carbon steel with galvanized steel experience preferred
• Experience in structural welding preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
• Ability to lift 3 to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
• Ability to work in various welding positions and operate lifting equipment safely
