Overview

Weldall Manufacturing, Inc., founded in 1973, is a family-owned manufacturer known for providing best-in-class service and quality products. The company is seeking a Burn Table Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to operate burn table equipment and ensure high-quality cutting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Set up and operate burn table equipment using fuel gas and plasma cutting processes.
  • Set up and perform bevel cutting using fuel gas bevel cutting tips.
  • Set up and burn structural shapes and three-dimensional parts in accordance with work instructions.
  • Perform oxygen piercing as required for cutting operations.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC programs for cutting operations.
  • Calculate and adjust cutting speeds based on material type, thickness, and tooling requirements.
  • Adjust burning setup to minimize dross buildup and ensure parts meet quality and welding requirements.
  • Read and interpret drawings, shop orders, and work instructions to complete jobs to specification.
  • Verify correct quantity and cut quality of parts produced.
  • Perform first-piece and random dimensional inspections using measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Document inspection results and manage quality documentation as required by customer specifications.
  • Use measuring tools and gauging devices to monitor work in progress and verify final product dimensions.
  • Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, or process improvements to supervision.
  • Maintain burn table equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members; take notes, ask questions, and provide input to improve processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating burn tables or similar cutting equipment.
  • Experience with either fuel gas cutting or plasma cutting required; experience with both preferred.
  • Program editing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
