Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a motivated and experienced production welder for the night shift. This role involves MIG welding on various structural steel components in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in full scope of MIG weld processes on structural steel.
• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel, and gas flow.
• Read tape measures and blueprints to shop standards.
• Decide on adjustments or gun manipulation as needed.
• Determine repairs for pin holes and burn through.
• Train and teach proper welding procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain bead shape, size, and penetration quality.
• Keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correct.
• Practice continuous improvement in the work area.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of welding techniques.
• High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Experience in welding with thin gauge, painted, or galvanized materials.

• Night Shift schedule from 4:30pm to 3:00am or 4:30pm to 5:00am.
• Overtime is anticipated with this full-time, direct hire opportunity.
