Overview
EGC Construction, a unit of Messer Construction Co., is seeking an Ironworker Foreman with commercial/industrial experience to lead field crews in structural steel erection and industrial piping projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field crews responsible for structural steel erection and industrial piping projects.
- Act as the primary on-site leader for ironwork operations, coordinating daily tasks and managing crew performance.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, piping supports, blueprints, and specifications.
- Oversee structural steel erection, pipe support installation, fabrication, rigging, and layout work.
- Coordinate with millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and other trades to maintain workflow.
- Enforce all safety regulations, including fall protection and hazard controls.
- Complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and incident reports as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8+ years of ironworking experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial piping environments, including pipe supports and structural steel interfaces.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- NCCER Ironworker or Rigging Certification preferred.
