Overview

EGC Construction, part of Messer Construction Co., is seeking an Ironworker Foreman with commercial/industrial experience to lead field crews in structural steel erection and industrial piping projects. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee field crews responsible for structural steel erection and rigging.
  • Act as the primary on-site leader for ironwork operations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, piping supports, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Oversee structural steel erection, pipe support installation, fabrication, rigging, and layout work.
  • Coordinate with millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and other trades.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and complete Job Hazard Analyses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of ironworking experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial piping environments.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • NCCER Ironworker or Rigging Certification preferred.
