Overview

EGC Construction, part of Messer Construction Co., is seeking an Ironworker Foreman with commercial/industrial experience to lead field crews in structural steel erection and industrial piping projects. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while providing various construction services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee field crews responsible for structural steel erection and rigging.
  • Act as the primary on-site leader for ironwork operations.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and manage crew performance.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, piping supports, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Oversee structural steel erection, pipe support installation, fabrication, rigging, and layout work.
  • Coordinate with millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and other trades.
  • Enforce all safety regulations, including fall protection and hazard controls.
  • Complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and incident reports as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of ironworking experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial piping environments.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • NCCER Ironworker or Rigging Certification preferred.
