Overview
EGC Construction, part of Messer Construction Co., is seeking an Ironworker Foreman with commercial/industrial experience to lead field crews in structural steel erection and industrial piping projects. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, employing over 120 skilled craft workers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field crews responsible for structural steel erection and rigging.
- Act as the primary on-site leader for ironwork operations and manage crew performance.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, piping supports, blueprints, and specifications.
- Oversee structural steel erection, pipe support installation, and fabrication work.
- Coordinate with millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and other trades.
- Enforce all safety regulations and complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8+ years of ironworking experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial piping environments.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- NCCER Ironworker or Rigging Certification preferred.
