Overview
Standard Iron, a respected leader in custom metal fabrication, is seeking skilled welders for their 2nd shift and weekend shift teams. The company emphasizes precision, quality craftsmanship, and professional growth in a supportive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, working with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
- Produce accurate, durable components following detailed work instructions and specifications.
- Support in achieving certifications relevant to the role, such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
- Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to ensure accurate setups and welds.
- Utilize a variety of metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives.
- Operate lifting devices such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information
- 2nd Shift – Mon – Weds 4:30pm – 5:00am (Employees work three 12-hour shifts (36 hours) and are compensated for a full 40-hour workweek)
- Weekend Shift – Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 6:00am – 6:30pm
