Overview

Standard Iron, a leader in custom metal fabrication, is seeking skilled welders for their 1st shift team. The role focuses on producing high-quality handrails, guardrails, and stair systems, emphasizing precision and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
• Produce accurate, durable components following detailed instructions and specifications.
• Support in achieving certifications such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
• Interpret welding symbols and blueprints for precise setups and welds.
• Utilize various metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives.
• Operate lifting devices safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience is preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex structural blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
