Responsibilities

  • Perform orbital and TIG welding of high-purity stainless steel assemblies per drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate orbital welding equipment, including ARC 207 power supplies or equivalent.
  • Prepare, fit, assemble, and weld tubing and components using proper fabrication techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, BOMs, and weld procedures.
  • Ensure weld quality and compliance with safety, customer, and industry standards.
  • Train junior technicians and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and QA/QC teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent training.
  • Previous orbital welding and/or TIG welding experience.
  • Current welding certification or ability to re-certify.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous welding workmanship preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and QC documents.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.

  • Schedule: M-F 6:00am-3:00pm
  • Location: Boise, ID
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • WGNSTAR does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program for this role.
