The company values craftsmanship and collaboration, seeking a hands-on Sample Shop Lead to build high-quality prototypes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sample Shop in building custom display units based on engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and translate them into high-quality prototypes.
• Set up and operate a variety of shop equipment, including welding and fabrication tools.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to support specialized builds and troubleshoot challenges.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years in metal manufacturing.
• Experience in welding (MIG or resistance preferred) and general fabrication.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and technical instructions.
• Comfort working with both hand tools and powered equipment.
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions and measurements.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• A dependable, team-oriented work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn and operate equipment such as welders, brake presses, saws, grinders, and measuring tools.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
