Overview

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Lead Welder for a high volume metal fabrication facility located in York, PA. The candidate will be responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications, including weld requirement symbology.
• Perform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, and metal casings using welding machines and acetylene welding equipment.
• Perform grinding operations using manual and power tools.
• Maintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Welding and Fabrication.
• MIG Welding experience on steel and aluminum is required; TIG experience is a plus.
• Ability to work off of Mechanical Drawings and Specifications.
• Leadership/Supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate with the team and Plant Manager.

• Location: York, PA 17404
• Pay: $25-30/hr (depending on experience)
• Shift: 1st (Mon-Thu 5:30am to 3:30pm, Friday OT 5:30am to 10:30am Optional)
• All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
