Job Description
Overview
This Title 32 Dual Status position is located at the Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) in Groton, CT, where the primary responsibility is to perform sheet metal mechanic duties on aircraft and related equipment. The role involves ensuring aircraft readiness for Federal and State missions through various maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Independently inspects aircraft and determines the nature and extent of repairs.
- Works directly on aircraft components, performing removal, repair, modification, and installation of parts.
- Repairs cracks in aircraft skin and identifies metal corrosion.
- May operate the wash rack.
Requirements
- National Guard membership is required.
- Must have a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard.
