Overview

Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Pipefitter Apprentice in Colorado City, TX. The apprentice will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and related equipment under direction, while gaining hands-on experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Uses basic knowledge of regulations and requirements to determine methods and materials needed.
• Prepares and works from sketches, plans, specifications, and roughing-in sheets.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related equipment.
• Installs and repairs piping systems using various joint methods.
• Performs lockout and tag procedures to secure and deactivate equipment.
• Inspects work site for obstructions and structural integrity.
• Bends, cuts, and threads pipe using various tools and equipment.
• Dismantles equipment to access and remove defective parts.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks involving manual movement of materials and tools.
• Completes paperwork documenting repair and maintenance activities.
• Works with other crafts as needed based on conditions or workload.
• Secures pipes to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Follows safety policies and procedures while working in operating facilities.

Requirements

• 6-48 months of experience in layout, installation, and maintenance tasks.
• Possess a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record.
• Have related tools.
