Responsibilities

  • Fuse or weld metal structural components using GMAW arc welding.
  • Perform welding operations from blueprints or written specifications.
  • Utilize safety devices and wear mandatory personal protective equipment.
  • Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.
  • Maintain and operate production tooling and welding equipment safely.
  • Read and complete labor reporting and standard shop forms.

Requirements

  • Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer programs like Microsoft Outlook.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Acceptable attendance and prior employment record.
  • Three to five years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a production environment.
  • Multi-pass, stack layering welding experience.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, prior experience preferred.
  • Ability to read weld symbols and understand blueprints.
  • Must be able to use and accurately read a tape measure.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Positive communication and interaction with coworkers.
  • Passion and integrity with the drive to excel.

Additional Information

  • This position is for 1st shift, working Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Starting pay is $25.53 per hour.
