Overview

Westinghouse Electric Company is at the forefront of nuclear energy innovation. The Robot Welder will control the automated welding process, ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, set up, and operate welding robots according to WPS and production specifications.
  • Program or adjust welding parameters (paths, speed, cycles).
  • Visually inspect weld quality and report any defects.
  • Perform minor routine maintenance and cleaning on the robot and equipment, in collaboration with the maintenance department.
  • Manage equipment changeovers (fixtures, jigs, torches) and ensure correct component positioning.
  • Prepare progress status reports.
  • Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security).

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanics/mechatronics.
  • Familiarity with WPS (Welding Process Specifications).
  • Availability to work in three shifts: Monday to Friday – Shift 1: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Shift 2: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Night Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  • Knowledge of Italian and English languages (min. B1 level).
