Join Our Team!We are currently seeking experienced Welder/Fitters to join a busy shipyard operation in Moss Point, MS. If you have structural fitting experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced maritime environment, we want to hear from you! Job Responsibilities • Remove steel plates from vessels using a washout tip. • Cut, fit, and prepare steel plates for welding. • Bevel plates for structural weld joints using a washout tip. • Install structural attachments including saddles, eye pads, and hangers capable of supporting heavy loads. • Set up and operate SMAW welding equipment. • Perform welding using 6010 and/or 7018 electrodes. • Safely operate acetylene torch washout tips. • Follow all shipyard safety procedures and quality standards. Key Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of Structural Fitter experience. • Experience in a shipyard or heavy industrial environment preferred. • Ability to set up and operate SMAW welding equipment. • Proficient using 6010 and/or 7018 welding rods. • Experience using an acetylene torch washout tip. • Ability to read measurements and perform accurate fit-up work. • Dependable with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Shifts: • Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
