CTR Group is seeking Pipe Welder / Fitters for a Nationwide Mechanical Repair Company in the Newport News, VA area. Shop Welding, requiring SMAW and FCAW skills. Pay Range: $25 - $32 per Hour with Benefits. SUMMARY:The Pipe Welder Fitter plays a crucial role in assembling, fitting, and welding piping systems, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This position requires expertise in pipe cutting, welding techniques, and fitting assembly while effectively interpreting blueprints to meet project specifications. Responsibilities • Seeking mid-level mechanical technicians who can fit and weld pipe. • Cut pipes accurately according to specifications • Perform welding tasks to join pipes and fittings securely • Use SMAW and FCAW welding. • Assemble and fit piping components efficiently • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper installation • Boiler experience would be great but not required. • Occasional travel required.
