Overview
REV-O is a manufacturer of industry-leading ambulance brands, dedicated to delivering durable vehicles for first responders. The Welder I position involves fabricating and welding various parts for ambulances, contributing to the mission of building reliable emergency vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld parts and assemblies.
- Perform welding procedures as prescribed in AWS and ASME publications for MIG and STICK welding on multiple types of metals.
- Use tools such as grinders, sanders, rivet guns, and saws, and read measuring devices.
- Inspect welds for defects such as cracks and lack of fusion.
- Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English.
- Maintain a safe work environment and perform maintenance on welding equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in welding using MIG or TIG welding machines.
- Must pass and maintain in-house AWS Welder Certification.
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
Additional Information
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing in and out of buses.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work in 105-degree heat for excess of ten hours per day.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
