Overview
The Mold Maintenance-Welder position involves the fabrication and repair of various metal parts using different metal-altering machines. The role requires experience in welding steel and aluminum, as well as the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair various metal parts using metal-altering machines.
- Have at least two years of experience welding steel and aluminum.
- Understand and read blueprints.
- Monitor and stock shop supplies necessary to complete projects.
- Use different types of measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Have welding machine setup experience.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Work with Engineering on upcoming prototypes.
- Perform daily cleanup and inspection of tools.
- Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead.
- Inspect all parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Complete any other duties as assigned by management.
- Comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must have at least two years of experience welding steel and aluminum.
- Must be able to understand and read blueprints.
- Must be able to use different types of measuring tools.
- Must have welding machine setup experience.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
- Must always wear proper safety equipment while in the machine shop.
