Overview
REV-O is a manufacturer of industry-leading ambulance brands, committed to safety, innovation, and quality. The Welder I position involves using welding skills to build vehicles for first responders and patients, providing opportunities for skill advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld various parts and assemblies.
- Perform all manner of welding procedures as prescribed in AWS and ASME publications for MIG and STICK welding on multiple types of metals.
- Use grinders, sanders, rivet guns, saws, and other air tools, and read English and imperial tape measures.
- Inspect welds for cracks, burn through, weld spatter, lack of fusion, and craters.
- Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English.
- Maintain a safe work environment and perform maintenance on welding equipment when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Two years of experience in welding using MIG or TIG welding machines.
- Must pass and maintain in-house AWS Welder Certification.
- Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
Additional Information
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
- This position may require mandatory overtime up to three out of four Fridays per month.
