Overview

Technical Metal Specialties is seeking to expand their team in New Berlin, WI, offering a climate-controlled environment and a 100% employee-owned structure. The position includes a competitive pay rate, a hiring bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations on a standard and repetitive line of weldments and structures following prescribed procedures.
• Adjust and regulate machines to obtain best possible penetration, fill, weld quality and performance.
• Fit and position weldments using welding fixtures and jigs or without fixtures if applicable.
• Ensure dimensional and alignment requirements are met.
• Use basic welding fundamentals and certification in GMAW.
• Utilize tools such as rules, squares, protractors, templates, and fixed gauges.
• Work is subject to process and final inspection and test.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED).
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Knowledge of welding principles and techniques.
• One year technical college diploma or certificate in welding preferred but not required.
