Overview
The Experienced Welder/Fabricator position is a full-time role on the 2nd shift, focused on setting up and tack welding various metals to create sub-assemblies for cylinders and swivels, while adhering to Weld Procedure Specifications.
Responsibilities
- Repair weld flaws and leakers from assembly.
- Tack and weld parts according to the appropriate weld procedure.
- Clean and inspect all finished sub-assemblies as trained.
- Store finished sub-assemblies and unused parts per proper procedures.
- Read and interpret shop routings and prints.
- Set up the job per the appropriate weld procedures and work instructions using fixtures and jigs where applicable.
- Perform and obtain the first part piece inspection.
- Conduct general maintenance such as changing tips, liners, wire, and gas.
- Return tools and fixtures to their proper locations when the job is complete.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years associate degree in Welding with one or more years in a variety of welding techniques.
- Must be able to pass the JARP Industries weld certification test.
- Required to pass all weld certification tests within 2 years of hire.
- Welding experience in flux core, sub-arc, and MIG is a must.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Manufacturing experience.
