Overview

We are hiring a skilled Metal Fabrication Welder to join a busy fabrication shop specializing in custom metal products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIG welding experience who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on fabricated metal components
• Weld and finish stairs, railings, stringers, and other miscellaneous metal products
• Grind welds to meet quality and appearance standards
• Operate an overhead crane to safely move materials
• Inspect completed welds and metal assemblies for quality and structural integrity
• Read blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication documents
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following established safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous MIG welding experience
• Experience operating welding equipment and using standard welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Basic math and geometry skills for measuring and layout work
• Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop environment
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
