Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. (PHIL) is a global leader of customized off-highway truck haulage enhancements, founded in 1969. They are seeking a full-time First Shift Welder to join their team, where the role involves welding customized products from various departments using MIG and dual shield techniques.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Perform MIG and dual shield welding.
• Weld from a variety of positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Visually inspect the quality of work.
• Grind out inferior quality welds and rework as needed.
• Read and interpret prints, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials.
• Perform material handling operations as needed.
• Operate a hand torch and hand plasma torch.
• Cross-train to assist in other departments as needed.
• Clock to jobs using a barcode scanning system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.

Requirements

• Print reading and fitting experience preferred.
• Flat MIG wire welding experience needed.
• Out-of-position dual shield welding experience preferred.
• Openness to travel for onsite production installation and warranty work.
• Ability to drive for travel requirements.

Additional Information

• Starting pay is $23 to $26 per hour.
