Overview

StandardAero is seeking a Welder with experience in various metal fabrication techniques to join their team. The company values integrity and provides a clean and safe work environment, empowering employees to resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate brazing and soldering equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years or more welding in an Aerospace or Aviation environment
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
  • Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy)
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, reworks process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals and MSDS labels
  • Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems
  • Attainment of trade certification
  • Attainment of applicable welding ticket(s)
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
