Job Description

Overview

The Welder position involves a variety of welding processes including mig, tig, robotic, and gas applications. The role requires welding metals and alloys of various shapes and sizes according to blueprints and work orders, while ensuring compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities

  • Mark-up incorrect drawings and bills of material, submit to engineering and plan for change.
  • Communicate with engineers and designers on problems regarding production tools.
  • Fabricate components from blueprints and verbal instructions.
  • Perform assignments in accordance with written quality procedures.
  • Use cutting torches, grinders, and similar metal working equipment to complete welding projects.
  • Ensure compliance to safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to be on feet for up to twelve hours and handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Capability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Knowledge of math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Knowledge of decimals, fractions, and metric/English conversions.
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to lift and position parts into fixtures.
