Responsibilities

• Perform MIG Horizontal and Downhill welding on container units, cabinets, drawers, doors, and other production components.
• Use electric, acetylene, and arc-air equipment for welding tasks.
• Evaluate and coordinate welding needs and repairs as necessary.
• Prevent damage to machinery, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the plant and work areas.

Requirements

• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills with supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing 75 pounds and over.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Willingness to undergo additional training related to job duties.

• Work hours range from 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Weekly work schedule is 40 to 50 hours, sometimes more.
• Half-hour lunch break.
• 80% of the time spent standing, 20% sitting in awkward positions.
• Must climb and work at heights over 5 feet.
