Job Description

Overview

The Welder Helper performs various duties assigned by the supervisor, including grinding, sanding, stocking workstations, and maintaining a clean environment. The role requires the ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently to support welders.

Responsibilities

  • Grind and sand materials as directed.
  • Stock weld workstations.
  • Complete part fabrication and fit up for welders.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Replace or assist other workers as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in a welding shop environment.
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing 75 pounds and over.
  • Ability to comprehend additional training related to work duties.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are 8 to 10 hours per day.
